If you were a bottle- what would you be filled with? And I ain’t talking about the top shelf kind.. It’s like this- we start out as an empty bottle, and by the end of the day we are filled up. Now if that were the case- what would you be filling yours with? Are you overflowing it with the bad? Stress? Anxiety? Fear? Negative thoughts? Sitting around waiting for the good moments to come to you rather then going out and creating them? Or are you bursting at the lid with joy? love? passion? energy? excitement? We all have a choice of what to fill our bottles with. And we also have a choice of what to tip out of our bottle.
I look around (just doing my Monday morning people watching) and I see empty bottles. Just nothing. No anything. Bottles that have the lid screwed on so tight with no flow. I’m thinking the kind you see at the back of the shelf collecting a little dust and wondering why noone wants it.. (more…)
When you are presented with an opportunity in life- one that you have always wanted- what is the first thing you do? Do you get inspired? Do your eyes light up with excitement? Success= being at the top with everyone knowing your name whether it was for good or bad intentions. Looking back- success sounds pretty damn boring and it ain’t really selling itself well there.
If success means working long hours, never seeing your friends, working for someone else you don’t even really like, working to be someone you aren’t, not watching your kids grow up because you are in the office all day, SLOGGING YOUR LIFE AWAY- WHY would I ever want it?? If you spend your life thinking that you will finally be successful when you have a specific figure in your bank account- you are quite possibly setting yourself up for failure… I think it comes from defining your OWN definition of success.
